In the metal workshop, each assembler works at their own station handling orders that can be technically complex and require precise drawings. Traditionally, information was conveyed through paper or office visits — both methods slowed production and increased the risk of errors.
The objective was a solution where the assembler could view their order status from the workstation, retrieve required drawings, and check inventory status with a touch, without interrupting work for an unnecessarily long time. At the same time, the display also serves general communication automatically.
Solution
Touchscreen at every workstation — four functions in one device
A touchscreen was installed at each metal workshop workstation, operating in two modes: as an automatic information display and as an interactive production control terminal. The assembler interrupts the presentation with a touch and proceeds to retrieve the required information — then returns.
Orders, drawings, and inventory status were retrieved directly from the customer’s production control system — no manual input, no outdated information. The robotic camera was integrated as part of the display system so that the status of component manufacturing could be monitored in real time from other workstations.
