Keeping eight construction sites connected throughout the construction period
The West Metro construction represented a multi-year project involving simultaneous construction of several metro stations across different locations in Espoo. Each construction site had its own barracks, and the project management worked in an office building. All locations required the same information — but also site-specific content from their own construction site.
A standard information display was insufficient. The client required an interactive solution enabling employees to browse the status, safety instructions, and project presentation specific to their construction site, while simultaneously displaying general announcements automatically.

Brand-compliant touchscreen interface, designed in collaboration with the client
The West Metro visual identity — logo, colors, and fonts — was strong and recognizable. We designed the touchscreen interface in close collaboration with the client to ensure the final result integrated seamlessly with their brand and precisely met their functional requirements.
Each display showed the name of the respective construction site. Touchscreen buttons enabled browsing of that site’s status, reading safety instructions, reviewing the project presentation and West Metro news, and navigating forward and backward through the content. The automatic information view and interactive browsing functioned on the same display.
We delivered the equipment and software to the client and performed on-site installation of the display stations: in construction site barracks and in the office building, where one display was installed with a wall mount and another on its own mobile stand for flexible positioning as needed.
